North Metro Diamond Extravaganza Instructional Showcase
The North Metro Diamond Extravagnza Instructional Showcase will be held on November 6th (underslassmen) and November 7th (seniors) at McDaniel Field at North Gwinnett High School. All High School age North Georgia baseball players are invited to attend. Travis Mclanahan, head baseball coach at Gordon College, will be the Showcase Director. Coach Mclanahan will be assited in the instructional portion of the program by coaches from the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Georgia Southern University. More than 30 colleges and universities have been invited to attend as well as the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau and several major league teams. Fall Workouts
If you missed the meeting on Tuesday, August 17th, please stop by Coach Vashaw's room (700), Coach Moity's room (113), or Coach Culpepper's room (109).
Fall strength and conditioning workouts are not mandatory. On Tuesdays and Thursdays workouts will be held at the North Gwinnett Baseball Field. Be sure to check out the workout program at Gold's Gym ran by the goPeformance team. For more information on the goPerformance workout program designed for baseball players, please attend the meeting on Saturday, August 21st at 12:30 PM at Gold's Gym in Suwanee. |

Golf Tournament Information
The North Gwinnett Baseball team will host their 1st ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT on MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2010 at the Sugar Hill Golf Club. October 11th is a students and teacher holiday for Gwinnett County Public Schools, so coaches and players will be there to help. There will be a silent auction and plenty of prizes, including a chance to win a new car. 7:30 AM - Driving Range Open, Registration, Silent Auction Breakfast provided by Chik-fil-A
9:30 AM - Shotgun Start
Lunch, awards, and raffle prizes at the conclusion of golf

Thanks for a Great 2010!!

As we wrap up our summer season, I would like to thank everyone for a great 2010. Our varsity advanced to the Final Four for the the first time as a AAAAA school. We had a third round draft pick in Chris Hawkins (Blue Jays) who signed and already has begun his professional career, and we saw five other players commit to play college baseball. iI thank all parents for their help throughout the season and during the summer tournaments we have hosted. On behalf of the coaches, let me thank you for allowing us to work with your sons. We are grateful for the opportunity to do what we do. Thanks again! FV |
